iwantPrEPnow.co.uk was created to raise awareness of and access to PrEP, with all the information you need in one place so you can access PrEP now.
iwantPrEPnow.co.uk was set up by Greg Owen and Alex Craddock.
We saw PrEP as a powerful new tool to help stop the spread of HIV. We want anyone to be able to access PrEP and be able to confidently make their own choice about their sexual health and HIV protection. It’s your sex life – your choice.
We created the original version of this website on a shoestring budget and paid for everything with our own money. We did not receive funding from government, the NHS or the sellers that are listed. We were simply two people sharing information.
Until recently everyone who worked on the website was a volunteer and donated their time, expertise and knowledge for free.
In April 2017, Greg Owen collaborated with Terrence Higgins Trust to continue his work on iwantPrEPnow and a Lighthouse Fund grant awarded some of the money from the Lighthouse Fund to pay for the iwantPrEPnow website redesign.
In November 2017, iwantPrEPnow became part of Terrence Higgins Trust and co-founder Greg Owen joined Terrence Higgin Trust as a member of staff. His official job title is iwantPrEPnow Project Lead and he continues to run iwantPrEPnow.
Currently, iwantPrEPnow and Greg Owen’s work is equally funded by Terrence Higgins Trust and Elton John AIDS Foundation.
