iwantPrEPnow.co.uk was created to raise awareness of and access to PrEP, with all the information you need in one place so you can access PrEP now.

iwantPrEPnow.co.uk was set up by Greg Owen and Alex Craddock in October 2015 to raise awareness of and facilitate access to PrEP. Our aim was to give people all the information they needed, in one place, so they could decide if PrEP was right for them.

We created the original version of this website on a shoestring budget and paid for everything with our own money. We did not receive any funding from charities, government, the NHS or the sellers that are listed. We see PrEP as a powerful new tool to help stop the spread of HIV. We want everyone to be able to access PrEP if they need it and we want to help empower people to confidently make their own choices about their sexual health and HIV protection.

Until 2017, everyone who worked on the website was a volunteer and donated their time, expertise and knowledge for free.

In April 2017, Greg Owen collaborated with Terrence Higgins Trust to continue his work on iwantPrEPnow and a Lighthouse Fund grant provided the budget to pay for a website redesign.

In November 2017, iwantPrEPnow became part of Terrence Higgins Trust and co-founder Greg Owen joined Terrence Higgins Trust as a member of staff. He continues to run iwantPrEPnow.
